I hope I am cutting this plant right

You know the more I learn about science, the more I learn about the little things in life that I have somehow not completely learned how to do. It is easy picking vegetables at the grocery store. I now see why! The best looking most consistent of the harvest are sent to the corporate conglomerate grocery stores that then put them on the shelves in a very appealing and appetizing way. We go to the store and pick over what a farmer already shuffled through and bring it home. The irony about this is I really have no clue how to harvest swiss chard. I have had to ask a million questions so I don’t kill the plant. Good news is this plant is seemingly healthy so I am pretty sure I can harvest for the duration of this term.
